What Is Batch Watermarking?

Batch watermarking puts the same text or logo on many photos in one pass, using one set of settings for all of them. The mark's size adapts to each photo, but its spot and look stay the same. Watermarking one photo at a time is different: there you place and size the mark by hand for that picture.

Watermark Photos in Bulk: What to Check First

One set of watermark settings has to work on every photo in the batch. Check these four things before you click Apply.

How Does One Watermark Fit Photos of Different Sizes?

The mark grows and shrinks with each photo, but not every setting does:

  • Text size follows each photo's height. On a tall photo, the same words take up more of the width.
  • A logo's Scale follows each photo's width. On a wide photo, the logo takes up more of the height.
  • Margin is a fixed number of pixels. On a large photo, the gap from the edge ends up smaller than the preview shows.
  • Text is tilted -30° by default, and tilted text in a corner can run past the edge. Set Rotation to 0° for corner marks.

Can I Place the Watermark Differently on One Photo?

No. Every photo gets the same Position, size and opacity. Finished photos aren't redone when you change a setting, so check first:

  • Click each thumbnail in the strip above the preview to see the mark on that photo.
  • Remove a photo that needs a different spot with the X on its thumbnail, then mark it in a batch of its own.
  • To redo a finished batch with new settings, go back and add the photos again.

Should You Crop or Resize Before You Watermark?

Yes, add the watermark last. Cropping afterward can cut a corner mark off, and shrinking afterward makes thin text hard to read. Use bulk crop or the bulk image resizer first, then bring the finished files here.

How Are the Watermarked Files Named?

Each file keeps its name with watermarked- in front, so beach.jpg comes back as watermarked-beach.jpg.

  • Two or more photos download together as watermarked-images.zip. A single photo downloads on its own. Two photos with the same name come out as name and name (1).
  • GIF, BMP and SVG photos are saved as PNG, so their names end in .png.
  • Camera details such as GPS location aren't copied into the new files.

Bulk Watermark — Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about adding watermarks to multiple images at once

How do I add a watermark to multiple photos at once?

Select all your photos at once, or drag them in together. Set your text or logo and pick a Position, then click Apply Watermark. For 12 photos the button reads Apply Watermark to 12 Images. When it's done, click Download All to save them as one ZIP.

How do I put my company logo on multiple photos?

Open the Image tab, click Choose Logo / Watermark Image and pick your logo once. The same file goes on every photo. Its Scale is a share of each photo's width, so a 20% logo covers a fifth of the width on a large photo and on a small one.

How many photos can I watermark at once?

There is no set limit. Photos are marked one at a time on your device, and a photo that fails is flagged while the rest carry on. Huge photos and very large batches need more memory, so phones reach their limit sooner than computers.

How do I watermark photos for client delivery?

Tick Repeat across image so there's no clean corner to crop, and set Opacity between 20% and 40% so the client can still judge each shot. Your original files aren't changed. Send the clean versions once the client approves.

Will batch watermarking reduce my image quality?

Every photo keeps its width and height. PNG files come out with no loss. JPG and WebP files are saved again at a fixed 92% quality, so very fine detail can shift slightly. There is no quality slider.

What image formats can I watermark in bulk?

Mix any of JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and SVG in one batch. Each JPG, PNG or WebP stays in its format. The rest are saved as PNG, and an animated GIF keeps its first frame. Logos: PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG.

What is the easiest way to watermark multiple images?

Put the whole set in one batch and let the settings adapt. Text size follows each photo's height and logo Scale follows its width, so one setting fits a mix of sizes. Pick a corner or Repeat across image, apply once and download one ZIP.
