# PicsSizer — Full Reference for AI Systems > Free, browser-based image toolkit. No uploads. No account. No watermarks. All processing runs on-device via JavaScript and the Canvas API. ## About PicsSizer PicsSizer is a privacy-first image processing platform. Every tool runs entirely in the user's browser — no image data is transmitted to any server at any point. Users can verify this by inspecting the browser's Developer Tools network tab after uploading a file: there are zero outbound file transfer requests. **Supported input formats:** JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, HEIF, SVG, ICO **Output formats vary by tool:** JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, PDF, ICO, ZIP **Device support:** All modern browsers on desktop, tablet, and mobile (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) **Cost:** Free. No account required. No watermarks at any setting. **Localization:** Available in English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Chinese. --- ## Image Compression Tools ### [Image Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/image-compressor) Single-image compressor with adjustable quality slider (1–100). Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF input. Output in JPG, PNG, or WebP. Shows before/after file size comparison. Suitable for web optimization, email attachments, and social media uploads. ### [Bulk Image Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/bulk-image-compressor) Batch compressor for up to 100 images simultaneously. Applies a single quality setting to all files. Supports mixed-format batches (JPG + PNG + WebP in one upload). Downloads all compressed images as a single ZIP file. Per-file status indicators show compression progress. No batch size limit imposed beyond browser memory. ### [JPEG Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/jpeg-compressor) Format-specific compressor for JPG/JPEG files only. Quality slider with real-time preview. ### [PNG Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/png-compressor) Lossless PNG compression. Reduces file size without any quality loss for graphics, logos, and screenshots with flat colors or transparency. ### [WebP Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/webp-compressor) Compress existing WebP images to smaller file sizes while preserving transparency (where present). ### [GIF Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/gif-compressor) Reduce animated GIF file sizes. Applies dithering and color palette reduction. ### [Bulk GIF Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/bulk-gif-compressor) Batch GIF compression for up to 100 GIF animations. Downloads as ZIP. ### [PDF Compressor](https://www.picssizer.com/pdf-compressor) Reduce PDF file sizes for email and upload. Processes PDFs client-side using pdf-lib. --- ## Target File Size Compression These pages surface the target-file-size feature of the Image Resizer for users who need to hit a specific KB or MB ceiling. ### [Resize to Target Size — Hub](https://www.picssizer.com/resize-to-target-size) Hub page explaining how target-size compression works. Links to size-specific pages. The underlying tool uses binary search over quality levels to find the optimal compression that produces a file at or below the specified target. **How it works:** The tool compresses the image at a starting quality, measures the resulting file size, and iterates (binary search) until the output is within 5% of the target. For JPG and WebP, quality parameter is adjusted. For PNG (lossless), WebP conversion is attempted first; if needed, dimensions are reduced. ### [Compress to 100KB](https://www.picssizer.com/compress-image-to-100kb) Targeted at: passport photos for visa applications, government ID uploads, official form submissions. 100KB is the most common file size limit for identity photo uploads worldwide. Works best with JPG or WebP output — PNG typically cannot reach 100KB for photographic content without dimension reduction. ### [Compress to 200KB](https://www.picssizer.com/compress-image-to-200kb) Targeted at: email newsletter images, blog thumbnails, CMS upload limits, WordPress media uploads. 200KB is the recommended maximum for above-the-fold web images to pass LCP thresholds on mobile connections. ### [Compress to 500KB](https://www.picssizer.com/compress-image-to-500kb) Targeted at: e-commerce product photos (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon), press release images, real estate listings. A 2000×2000px product image at 500KB using WebP retains full detail sufficient for e-commerce zoom views. ### [Compress to 1MB](https://www.picssizer.com/compress-image-to-1mb) Targeted at: Shopify hero banners, LinkedIn cover photos, Facebook cover images, high-resolution blog heroes. Images above 1MB are identified as LCP failures by Google Core Web Vitals and are re-compressed by LinkedIn and Facebook upload systems with quality degradation. --- ## Image Resizing Tools ### [Image Resizer](https://www.picssizer.com/resize-image) Full-featured single-image resizer. Resize modes: pixel dimensions (width × height), percentage. Aspect ratio lock. Fit modes: contain (letterbox with background fill), cover (crop to fill), stretch. Format output: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF. Background fill color picker (for contain mode). **Target file size mode:** automatically compresses to a specified KB or MB limit. Supports drag-and-drop and click-to-upload. ### [Bulk Image Resizer](https://www.picssizer.com/bulk-image-resizer) Resize up to 100 images to exact pixel dimensions or percentage in one batch. Applies uniform settings to all files. Downloads as ZIP. Per-file status display. ### [Crop Image](https://www.picssizer.com/crop-image) Freeform and ratio-locked crop. Preset aspect ratios: 1:1 (square), 16:9, 4:3, 3:2, 2:1, custom. Rotation and flip controls. Zoom for precision cropping. Output in original format or convert on crop. ### [Merge Images](https://www.picssizer.com/merge-images) Merge 2 to 30 images into one image in the browser. Layouts: side by side, stacked, or a grid with 2–10 columns; drag to reorder. Sizes: match (same height side by side, same width stacked, even rows in a grid) by scaling bigger images down only, never cropping or upscaling; original sizes with top/center/bottom (or left/center/right) alignment; or crop-to-fill grid cells (square, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9). Gap and border 0–100 px, a background color or transparent. Output as JPG, PNG or WebP with a quality setting and an optional max size (4000, 2000 or 1080 px), with a live pixel size and estimated file size; very large results are scaled to fit the browser's canvas limit. Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC and TIFF, up to 50 MB each. Images are not uploaded. ### [Square Image](https://www.picssizer.com/square-image) Make a photo square in the browser without cropping it. The whole photo stays, centred and edge to edge; the empty sides (left and right on a tall photo, above and below on a wide one) are filled with white (default), black, any color (picker or hex code), a blurred copy of the photo with a strength slider, or left transparent (PNG/WebP; a PNG's own transparency is kept). An optional margin of 0–20 % adds an even border on all four sides. Size: full (the square's side is the photo's long side, so every pixel is kept and nothing is enlarged), 1080 px, or a custom side of 16–10,000 px; very large squares are scaled to fit the device's canvas limit. Output as JPG, PNG or WebP (Auto picks JPG, or PNG when the result is transparent) with a quality setting, named -square. Up to 30 photos at once with the same settings, downloaded as a ZIP. Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC and TIFF up to 50 MB each. Photos are not uploaded. ### [Split Image](https://www.picssizer.com/split-image) Split one image in the browser. Grid mode: rows × columns from 1 to 20 each, with presets (in half side by side or stacked, 3 side by side or stacked, 2 × 2, 3 × 3, a 3-column "grid post" and a 1 × 3 "carousel"). Tile shape Free (the whole image) or Square, 3:4 or 4:5 (center-cropped, with a slider to move the crop); tiles can be numbered in profile-grid posting order (bottom-right first) with matching file names. Tiles are cut from the full-size image without scaling and saved as the original format, JPG, PNG or WebP (quality slider, default 95), as a ZIP or one tile at a time. Print mode: one image across A4, Letter, A3 or Legal sheets as a single PDF; size set by sheets across (1–10, up to 100 sheets), auto/portrait/landscape, margin and glue overlap, cut marks, sheet labels (A1, B1…) and an assembly map page, with a live print-sharpness check (dpi). Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, HEIC and TIFF up to 50 MB. The image is not uploaded. ### [Bulk Crop](https://www.picssizer.com/bulk-crop) Apply the same crop dimensions to multiple images in one batch. Preset dimensions for common platform sizes. Downloads as ZIP. ### [Upscale Image](https://www.picssizer.com/upscale-image) AI-powered image upscaling using wasm-based super-resolution. Increases resolution 2× or 4× without the traditional blurring of bicubic interpolation. Works best on photos and illustrations; performance varies for highly compressed or noisy inputs. --- ## Image Conversion Tools ### [Image Converter](https://www.picssizer.com/image-converter) Universal format converter. Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, SVG, ICO. Output: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF. Quality slider for lossy output formats. Conversion runs via WebAssembly (ImageMagick-wasm) for formats beyond native browser Canvas support. ### [Bulk Image Converter](https://www.picssizer.com/bulk-image-converter) Convert multiple images between formats in one batch. Same format options as the single converter. Downloads as ZIP. ### [Image Converters Hub](https://www.picssizer.com/image-converters) Directory listing all format-specific conversion pages (e.g., PNG to WebP, HEIC to JPG, SVG to PNG). --- ## PDF Tools ### [Image to PDF](https://www.picssizer.com/image-to-pdf) Convert one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP images to a single PDF document. Page size options: A4, Letter, fit to image. Supports multi-image PDFs (each image becomes one page). Client-side PDF generation using pdf-lib. ### [PDF to Image](https://www.picssizer.com/pdf-to-image) Extract PDF pages as individual JPG or PNG image files. Supports multi-page PDFs — each page exported as a separate image. Renders via pdfjs-dist (Mozilla PDF.js). ### [PDF to Text Converter](https://www.picssizer.com/pdf-to-text) Extract text from PDFs in the browser. Pages with a text layer are read directly with pdfjs-dist (Mozilla PDF.js); scanned pages are detected per page and read with OCR (tesseract.js 7, the same engine as Image to Text), with a "Read with OCR" button for any page. Reads 18 OCR languages, up to 3 at once. Options: join lines into paragraphs (words split with a hyphen at a line end are rejoined; table rows stay on their own lines), remove headers, footers and page numbers, and page markers. Password-protected PDFs open with the user's password on their device; passwords are not removed or cracked. Up to 20 PDFs per batch and 100 MB per file, with no page cap. Output: editable plain text with word and character counts, copy, UTF-8 .txt per PDF, or all results as one .txt or a ZIP. PDFs are not uploaded; the OCR language model downloads once and is cached. ### [Merge PDF](https://www.picssizer.com/merge-pdf) Combine multiple PDF files into a single document. Preserves all pages from each source PDF. Drag-to-reorder pages before merging. ### [Split PDF](https://www.picssizer.com/split-pdf) Split a PDF into individual pages or specify page ranges (e.g., pages 1–3, 5, 7–9). Downloads each extracted section as a separate PDF. ### [Crop PDF](https://www.picssizer.com/crop-pdf) Crop the pages of one PDF in the browser (up to 100 MB and 500 pages). Four ways: drag a box with 8 handles on the page preview (keyboard nudge too); type top, right, bottom and left margins in mm, inches or %; trim white margins automatically from each page's rendered ink, with padding from 0 to 20 mm (default 2 mm), per page or the same for all pages; or crop to a page size (A4, A5, Letter or custom width × height) by placing a fixed frame. Apply to all pages or this page only; margins are measured from each page's own edges as shown, so mixed page sizes and rotated pages crop correctly, and every page shows as a thumbnail with its frame. The output sets MediaBox and CropBox, keeps text, images and metadata, and is named -cropped.pdf; cropping hides the outside part rather than deleting it, and an optional "Remove the hidden part for good" mode redraws each page as a 300 dpi image inside the crop (text stops being selectable; up to 50 pages). Undo, redo and Reset. Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Files are not uploaded. ### [Password Protect PDF](https://www.picssizer.com/protect-pdf) Password protect PDFs in the browser with AES-256 (the PDF 2.0 standard security handler); the title and author are encrypted too. Add a password to open (with a confirm field, show/hide, a strength meter and a 16-character generator), and optionally restrict editing: printing allowed, low quality only or not allowed, plus copying, editing, comments and form filling, and adding or removing pages. "Lock only" leaves the file openable by anyone while the limits apply. An optional owner password lets you change the limits later; otherwise a random one is used. Up to 20 PDFs at once (100 MB each) with one password, downloaded as a ZIP. After saving, the file is re-read and a readout states what it got. Already-protected PDFs are refused. Files and passwords are not uploaded. ### [Unlock PDF](https://www.picssizer.com/unlock-pdf) Remove the password from a PDF in the browser when you know it: AES-256, AES-128 and RC4 locks are supported. Limits on printing, copying, editing, comments, forms and pages are lifted too, and those need no password. Passwords typed in other apps' formats are retried automatically. One PDF at a time, up to 100 MB. Before the download is offered, the unlocked copy is opened without a password and its pages are counted. Signed PDFs get a warning, since unlocking removes the signature. It can't recover a password you don't know. Files and passwords are not uploaded. ### [Rotate PDF](https://www.picssizer.com/rotate-pdf) Rotate individual PDF pages by 90°, 180°, or 270°. Apply rotation to all pages or selected pages only. --- ## AI & Enhancement Tools ### [AI Background Remover](https://www.picssizer.com/ai-background-remover) Remove image backgrounds using on-device AI. Powered by @imgly/background-removal running entirely in the browser via WebAssembly — no cloud API calls. Works on people, products, objects, animals, and illustrations. Output: PNG with transparent background (alpha channel). No watermark. Processing speed depends on device GPU/CPU; typical time 3–15 seconds per image. ### [Make Background Transparent](https://www.picssizer.com/make-background-transparent) Same AI-powered background removal as the AI Background Remover, targeted at the "make transparent" keyword cluster. Focuses on outputting images with transparency for use in design tools, product photography, and digital assets. Exports PNG with alpha channel. --- ## Text Recognition ### [Image to Text Converter](https://www.picssizer.com/image-to-text) Extract text from images with OCR that runs in the browser (tesseract.js 7, LSTM models). Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, BMP and TIFF, up to 50 images per batch and 50 MB per file. Reads 18 languages, up to 3 at once. Options: select an area to read, rotate, and join wrapped lines into paragraphs (hyphens removed; extra spaces between Chinese and Japanese characters cleaned up). Output: editable text, copy, .txt per image, or all results as one .txt or a ZIP. Images are not uploaded; the text model downloads once and is cached. --- ## Privacy Tools ### [Bulk EXIF Stripper](https://www.picssizer.com/bulk-exif-stripper) Remove all embedded metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP) from multiple images in one batch. Strips GPS coordinates, camera model, author information, timestamps, and software tags. Useful for sharing photos without revealing location data or device information. Downloads as ZIP. ### [Check Image Dimensions](https://www.picssizer.com/check-image-dimensions) Check the size of one image or up to 100 at once, in the browser. Sizes are read from the file headers without decoding the image, so large photos and iPhone HEIC files report at once. A table shows each file's width × height in pixels (the size it displays at; a photo rotated by the camera says how it's stored), aspect ratio, megapixels, file size and DPI with where it was read from (JFIF header, EXIF data, PNG data or BMP header), or "No DPI saved" when the file has none (no 72 is assumed). When a JPG stores two different DPI values, both are shown. The print size is worked out from each file's DPI in cm, mm or inches, or at 72, 150, 300 or a custom DPI (1–9,999) for every file. Copy one row or the whole table as tab-separated text for a spreadsheet. Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, TIFF, HEIC and HEIF. Images are not uploaded. ### [Image Metadata Viewer](https://www.picssizer.com/image-metadata-viewer) View all metadata embedded in an image file. Displays EXIF, IPTC, and XMP fields: GPS coordinates, camera make/model, lens information, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, copyright, author, software, timestamps. Reads metadata entirely in the browser using exifr.js. --- ## Design & Generation Tools ### [Screenshot Generator](https://www.picssizer.com/screenshot-generator) Create device mockup screenshots for app promotion. Add a photo or screenshot by drop, click or paste (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, HEIC, HEIF and TIFF, up to 50 MB), or try a sample. Hover to see a live preview and a 15 × 15 pixel loupe, click to pick; on a phone, press and drag with the loupe above the finger and lift to pick; with a keyboard, arrow keys move 1 px (Shift: 10 px) and Enter picks. Values come from the full-resolution image. Each pick shows HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV and CMYK (an estimate, no print profile), each copied as valid CSS where it applies, plus the nearest of the 148 CSS color names. In Chrome, Edge and Opera on a computer, Pick from screen reads any pixel on the screen. Picks collect in a list of up to 24 colors saved in the browser, exportable as CSS variables, a Tailwind config, JSON or a PNG swatch image with no account. The image's 6 main colors are shown too. Images are not uploaded. ### [Color Palette Extractor](https://www.picssizer.com/color-palette-extractor) Extract the dominant color palette from any image.
